Act I It was a stormy night in Scotland as both Macbeth and Banquo (nobleman of Duncan, King of Scotland) returned home from battle. On their journey home the two men were stopped by three bearded witches known as the “Weird Sisters”. The witches told them in a lyrical rhyme of how Macbeth will become the Thane of Cawdor as well as the King of Scotland. They told Banquo of how he will be the father of a long line of Kings. The witches quickly disappeared and the both Banquo and Macbeth weren’t sure of if what just happened was a real or if it was a hallucination. Suddenly, Ross (a messenger of King Duncan) says to Macbeth and Banquo that the current Thane of Cawdor is a traitor and is to be beheaded and Macbeth is to be the new Thane of Cawdor. Macbeth wonders how this could all become true, seeing as how the first prophecy was just fulfilled. Macbeth wonders if he could truly become the King of Scotland. He realizes the only way he could possibly become King would to be to kill King Duncan. Macbeth, disgusted of the thought, lets the idea go … for now. “I can believe that the witches' prophecy about Macbeth becoming Thane of Cawdor was true! O lord! Does this mean Macbeth will be and king? And then my son Fleance? No that can not be Malcolm is to be the heir to the throne and King Duncan still lives in good health. And although Macbeth a greatly ambitious man would never harm the king would he?”
Act II Later king Duncan announces that his son Malcolm will be the heir to the throne, Macbeth thinks back to the prophecy and the idea of murder. Macbeth writes to his wife and about his dilemma immediately. She soon realizes that the first thing she would need to do is convince her husband that killing Duncan must happen. That night after Macbeth returns home and has returned to bed, he dreams of himself holding a dagger but it talks to him saying he should follow through with the killing of King Duncan. That night Macbeth carries out the dreadful dead putting Duncan in coffin. No one knew until the next morning what had happened. Macbeth had snuck past the inebriated guards, the guards awoke and were blamed for the death of Duncan so Macbeth used his “acting skills” and killed the guards out of rage trying to show he was not involved in the death and wanted to avenge the death of the King.
“King Duncan...dead... I can't fathan it. And his sons have fled what can this mean? They couldn't have.... Could they? Killed their father? O! What a horrible thought! Macbeth to be King another prophecy for filled...... Does this mean Fleance will be king? Or is he is great danger? But....KING DUNCAN DEAD!!!!! WHO COULD HAVE DONE THIS!?! Surly Macbeth couldn't kill the king but Lady Macbeth? No this is surly impossible right? O I SWEAR I WILL FIND OUT WHO DID THIS AND AVENGE THE KING'S DEATH! KING DUNCAN FOREVER!” "In the great hand of god island, and thence against the undivulged pretense I fight of the treasures malice.” “He may think he can get away from me now that I have left his world but he is in for a rude awakening. ...... O my son be careful. "
Act III I was becoming very suspicious of Macbeth’s irrational behaviour, mainly because of the witches prophesy and Duncan’s death. While I was not around Macbeth hired two goons to murder me and told them how I was the enemy and I must be killed along with my son, THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS! I’m at a lose of words! I am in shock that Macbeth would ever murder me! Let alone my son! I was simply going out to just spend some time with my son, Fleance, when three veiled men attacked me and my son. I told my son to get away from here as fast as possible while I tried to fend of the murderers. Thankfully, Fleance got away and my act of bravery paid off. The only plus side to this whole ordeal is that I get to haunt the poor sucker! I scared the crap out of Macbeth at his banquet that night. He could see my voice sitting in my chair; he even made a toast to me ….. Good idea toast the dead guy….. You prick! This is extremely frustrating and disappointing …. I thought we were friends …..
Ross “To grace us with your royal company?” Macbeth “The table’s full” Lennox “Here is a place reserved, sir” Macbeth ”Where?” Lennox “Here my good lord, What is it that moves your highness?” Macbeth “Which of you has done this?” Lords “What, my good lord?” Macbeth “Thou canst not say I did it, Never shake thy gory locks at me” Ross “ Gentlemen, rise, his Highness is not well”
Act IV
After Macbeth’s encounter with Banquo’s ghost he grows fearful of the prophecy, if he himself will be killed or murdered. Macbeth went to visit the Weird Sisters and asked for help. They lead him to believe that he cannot be killed my any man who a woman gave birth too, this lead him to a false sense of security. After he is sure he cannot be killed he begins to think of Macduff and decides to send thugs to murder him and his family, just to be safe. Macbeth panics and decides venture to England and find Malcolm and is begging him to come back and take his place as King. Malcolm, fearful of Macbeth, says he will come back if Macduff wages war on Macbeth and wins. Macduff agrees.
This is all so enraging to me because this could have all been prevented had we have not seen those witches in the first place. my “former” best friend has murdered me a tried to kill my son. If I was Malcolm I’d make Macbeth suffer and I would hope Macbeth get whats coming to him ……….. what goes around comes around.
"O poor fulish Macbeth you can not escape what you have started. There is nothing you can do now the prophesies have begun and now they will end."
Act V - Blog
Lady Macbeth is now mad with guilt but no one knows besides her that it’s about all the murders her and her husband have been committing. The once strong woman is now a scared child. Talk circulates about Macbeth’s state of mind and people have come to the conclusion that he is unfit and they will have to dismiss him. Macbeth unafraid of death because of the prophecy doesn’t fear this battle. But right before battle Macbeth learns his wife has passed on with nothing to live for Macbeth charges into battle but not long after he is killed by Macduff. The reason being Macduff was not born by a woman but by a c-section. I know this is bad but I couldn’t help but laugh as I watched Macbeth was killed by Mcduff, it was priceless! Macbeth wasn’t bright enough to realize that Macduff was a c-section baby. I’m just thankfull because I know I won’t be seeing him where I am.
